Anchored Ministries is a Certified Faith Based Chemical Dependency Counseling and Education Service. Our approach to therapy includes the insights of spirituality integrated with the principles of modern behavior to help individuals, couples, families and groups achieve wholeness and health.

While each individual's story may differ, all share in the same frustration, pain and shame experienced in the midst of an addiction. There is a solution that gives hope, strength and courage to move beyond the addiction towards the victorious life God intended for each of us.

Our therapy is guided by the conviction that emotional illnesses are best healed by taking into consideration both the wisdom of spiritual teachings and the knowledge of human psychology.

Some people suffer from a illnesses such as depression, marital difficulties, work-related problems, or issues with a family members due to their addiction. Whatever the case may be these problems can be overwhelming, and cause anxiety, dysfunction and pain that harm relationships.

We use a variety of biblically based methods to address emotional problems which stand as barriers to moving through life's crises and transitions. Based on psychosocial assessments, theological principles and cultural understandings, we may recommend one or more of the following ways of helping - individual therapy, group therapy, couples counseling, marriage and family therapy, spiritual guidance and short-term counseling. If medical treatment is needed in addition to our services, we will refer to our clients to the appropriate treatment.

Full Restoration requires a Divine viewpoint as opposed to a human viewpoint regarding the source of 'negative consequence behavior. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy places accentuation on truth as it is found in the Word of God versus the lies that stem from human belief systems. First a man believes, then he thinks, feels and acts. Consequently, our beliefs determine our actions. Knowledge of biblical doctrine allows our counselor to discern the difference between man's solutions and God's answers regarding life controlling problems.
